Difference between on-line coated glass  off-line coated glass

Online coating refers to the process of coating in the manufacturing process of float glass. For example, after the online thermal spraying is the forming area of the float production line, at the beginning of the annealing furnace, the film is sprayed on the surface of the glass plate through the attached spray gun,  after the annealing furnace, the film is burnt on the surface of the glass, so it is called online coating.

Advantages: durable, like ordinary glass transport  operation, can be deep processed after coating, can be used for single glass installation.

Disadvantages: limited thickness can be selected, only coating on white glass, limited performance types can be selected.

The off-line coating process is carried out after the flat glass leaves the factory. Compared with the on-line coating, the firmness of the film must be affected, so the off-line coating has certain requirements on the "freshness" of the original glass.

Advantages: can plating any color, color can be adjusted, performance index can be adjusted.

Disadvantages: special operation, special packaging, long-distance transportation are  allowed, coating layer is easy to be damaged, cannot be tempered after coating, cannot be used for single glass installation,  special cleaning process is required.
